Pulling from her experience as an immigrant from a Mexican border town, Angela’s films and scripts often follow unlikely heroes, fish-out-of-water underdogs with little resources but big aspirations.

As a TV writer, she staffed on the CW show KUNG FU and the WBTV series OVER MY DEAD BODY. Previously, she was the Writers' Assistant on SACRIFICE starring Paula Patton for BET, and she also co-wrote an episode.

Angela won the Screencraft TV Pilot Competition in the Sci-Fi and Fantasy category for her pilot SEARCH, while another one of her pilots, THE CAUSE, was a finalist for the Alfred P Sloan Grant through the Sundance Episodic Lab.

Angela has also produced some of the most ambitious videos for Donut Media, America’s largest automobile YouTube channel. She also developed and produced "Two Sides," a Snap Originals series that garnered over 1.2 million subscribers for Snapchat and won a Webby award.

As a director and copywriter, she’s developed and helmed content for a myriad of clients, including Meta, IBM, American Express, and Campbell’s. Her short film for Cornetto, “Travellers,” was nominated for a Shots Young Directors Award at Cannes Lions and was part of a campaign that won a Silver Lion in Branded Content, while her first short film, “Mojado,” premiered at the Santa Barbara Film Festival and went on to screen at a dozen other festivals.

A WGA West and TV Academy member, Angela is also an alumna of NALIP's Writers Lab, NHMC's TV Writing Fellowship, and Dan Lin’s Rideback RISE Accelerator Program.

She earned a B.A. in Film Studies from Yale University, where she served as a crime reporter for the Yale Daily News and was a founding member of Bulldog Productions, Yale’s first undergraduate production company, producing one 16mm film per semester in what became her own version of film school.

In her spare time, Angela loves taking photos, sampling new pizza spots, and co-hosting the podcast The Big Twist, where she interviews other creatives about life’s big plot twists and their creative process.
