BIO

Pulling from her own experience as an immigrant from a Mexican border town, Angela writes dramas and dramedies that often feature fish-out-of-water characters striving to make an impact. As a TV writer, she staffed on the CW show KUNG FU and the WBTV series OVER MY DEAD BODY. Previously, she was the Writers' Assistant on SACRIFICE starring Paula Patton for BET, and she also co-wrote an episode.

Angela won the Screencraft TV Pilot Competition in the Sci-Fi and Fantasy category for her pilot SEARCH, while her most recent pilot THE CAUSE was a finalist for the Alfred P Sloan Grant through the Sundance Episodic Lab.

Angela has also produced some of the most ambitious videos for Donut Media, America’s largest automobile YouTube channel, and directed branded content for a myriad of clients, including Meta, IBM, American Express, and Marriott. Her short film for Cornetto was nominated for a Shots Young Directors Award at Cannes Lions.

She’s currently completing the Rideback RISE incubator program. Angela is repped by Ken Freimann at Circle of Confusion. She holds a B.A. in Film Studies from Yale University and is an alumna of NALIP's writer's lab and NHMC's TV writing fellowship.
