Pulling from her own experience as an immigrant from a Mexican border town, Angela writes dramas and dramedies that often feature fish-out-of-water characters struggling to adapt.

As a TV writer, she staffed on the CW show KUNG FU and the WBTV series OVER MY DEAD BODY. Previously, she was the Writers' Assistant on SACRIFICE starring Paula Patton for BET, and she also co-wrote an episode.

Before that, she was a producer, writer, and director of digital series and branded content for a myriad of clients, including Meta, IBM, American Express, and Marriott. Her short film for Cornetto was nominated for a Shots Young Directors Award at Cannes Lions, while the first short film she wrote and directed premiered at the Santa Barbara Film Festival.

Most recently, she won the Screencraft TV Pilot Competition in the Sci-Fi and Fantasy category for SEARCH.

Angela is repped by Ken Freimann at Circle of Confusion. She holds a B.A. in Film Studies from Yale University and is an alumna of NALIP's writer's lab and NHMC's TV writing fellowship. She’s also a TV Academy and WGA West member.
